Independent Haven, Inc. offers all of its clients the benefit of having on-sight Rep Payee Service. We have experience in managing the personal finances of our clients utilizing QuickBooks.
A Rep Payee is appointed by the Social Security Administration to manage the Social Security or SSI benefits for anyone who needs assistance with their personal finances. A Rep Payee is required by the Social Security Administration to maintain accounting records that show how all funds were distributed or saved for future needs of a client.
The benefit to our clients for utilizing our on-sight Rep Payee service are:
-A checking account listing Independent Haven, Inc. as the Rep Payee and the client as owner of that account will be opened and maintained
-We will work with our client’s to assist in determining their needs and use the benefit funds appropriately
-We will fill out and file all requested reports from Social Security or Hennepin County pertaining to our client’s benefits in a timely manner
-All receipts for bills paid and a record of how our client’s benefits are spent are kept on site
-All financial transactions will be accurately recorded and a monthly profit and loss statement will be printed and available
-A Client Financial Manager will work personally with each of our clients and they will have the benefit of knowing how their benefit dollars are being spent
-The Rep-Payee and their client records are subject to audit by the Social Security Administration and county of client residence.
